I grew up in rural Oklahoma and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where I met my wife Holly. My passion for both psychological and spiritual health drew me to pursue graduate training in the integration of Christian spirituality and mental health in Atlanta, Georgia. After returning to the University of Oklahoma to complete my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, I served as a professor and Director of Graduate Programs in Counseling and Psychology at Valparaiso University (in Indiana) before joining In His Image and In His Image International in 2017. What I love being a part of most at IHI is supporting residents in their personal and spiritual growth and helping them learn how to integrate their faith in clinical practice. When I’m not at IHI, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family (two amazing daughters and two dogs!), exploring the outdoors when I can, photography, 3D printing, and building remote control (RC) trucks.
