Melissa Natividad, DO
I was born and raised in Spring/Tomball, Texas (basically northwest Houston) and went to undergrad at UT Austin. Although I was raised in an amazing Christian family, I didn’t personally experience the joy of salvation until feeling God’s presence and fully trusting Him in a roomful of prayer during my first medical mission trip during undergrad. Since then, I’ve been pursuing medicine in reflection of how He healed me, and I seek to follow in His footsteps by working at an FQHC and/or going on more medical missions, as I try to help bridge gaps faced in accessing healthcare. Over the years, God has been faithful to me, helping me through medical school at Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, mostly through placing fellow believers in my life, which ultimately brought me to the beautiful Christ-centered community at IHI. In my free time, I love spending time with my family (including two crazy nephews and a niece), singing and playing the piano, reading, watching/quoting movies and shows, listening to podcasts, crocheting/knitting, swimming, exploring new places, and, of course, going on mission trips!
