Jeriah Johnson, MD

I grew up in India in a family deeply committed to serving the Lord through ministry. From an early age I was inspired by missionaries who used their lives to care for others and share the gospel. As I prayed about my future, God led me toward medicine as a meaningful way to live out that calling. I attended medical school in Chengdu, China, where I was part of a global Christian community living missionally, and there my passion for integrating faith and medicine grew even stronger. My husband, Sachan and I now serve on college campuses through discipleship and evangelism, and it is our desire to follow the Lord wherever He leads our family. I am especially interested in primary care and women’s health, and I am thankful to join the IHI family to grow in Christ-centered, whole-person care. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, hosting gatherings, learning new skills like haircutting and sewing, and spending time with family and friends. Life with my energetic two year old keeps me on my toes as I learn to dodge surprise tackles, cherish never ending cuddles, and keep up with endless curiosity.
