I was raised in church here in Tulsa; but as a young adult, I faltered until I had a life-changing encounter with God while in medical school at the University of Colorado. Eventually, sharing the love of Christ became paramount in my life, including in my Alabama private practice. After my wife Sandy and I realized a call beyond that practice and short-term missions to “multiply medical ministry,” we moved with our four boys in order to complete a fellowship in obstetrics and then again to begin serving at IHI in 2015. In 2023, Sandy and I also started a Direct Family Medicine and Obstetric practice called Reimagined Health, where IHI grads and I also teach residents about our alternative practice model. I am passionate about magnifying the Lord through the practice of medicine and training others to do the same. I also love spending time with Jesus and my family as well as hunting and snowboarding.
