Our Worldwide Outreach Focus Starts Right Here at Home

This local outreach in Tulsa, OK, is more than another free medical clinic. By combining healthcare with prayer, we see God open doors, change lives and build relationships – including the one that brings true and complete healing in all areas of life – a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Our local medical mission, also known as Good Samaritan Health Services, began in 1998. We apply spiritually integrated health care to address the broader needs of underserved patients. A key to accomplishing this is drawing on the combined strengths of partnering churches and Tulsa’s Cornerstone Assistance Network.

Without such basics as health insurance, transportation and adequate education, many people do not seek medical attention until problems become critical. We are able to provide compassionate health care to these individuals through two (a 35-foot and a 60-foot) mobile medical units.
Nearly every day of the week the van visits a different neighborhood in the Tulsa community. By so doing, Good Samaritan Health Services provides opportunities for IHI resident and faculty physicians, community doctors and nurses, and numerous church volunteers to pray and serve right here at home.

“This clinic has really helped with my medications. When I lost my job last year everybody was supportive of me in my search for work, and I really do appreciate this clinic and the people who serve here.” – Patient Testimony

Several alumni and residents volunteer with Good Samaritan Health Services. Read about the experience of one alumnus, Dr. Sam Winter, during his month rotation with the Good Sam mobile clinic during residency.

We are active in Christian Community Health Fellowship, a national network of Christian health professionals and others concerned about the health care needs of the impoverished communities in the United States.
