This was the first time some of the students had met foreigners.  They may have seemed a little shy or passive but we were all quite interested in the lectures and workshops.  Most of the students I talked with after the conference said they were more confident after attending the conference.”

It was a pity that we could not discuss problems about religion.  You may know that during for 70 years it was prohibited to talk about God.  All of us were communist and atheist.  This is why some of my students wanted to talk to you at the informal gatherings.  I hope you will come again and find the time to discus all important topics including religion.”
